Default DIY : RUBBING on your FENDER? FIX IT !!!

I've been looking around for someone who can roll my fender , found a place that charges $50 per FRONT or Back! Went to a shop and all they can advise me is to CUT it off!

Should i spend $50? ( $100 for the whole car)

Should i cut my fender lining off? ( It'll lead to rust )

Hell no ....... so that's why im doing this DIY fender trimming!

If it's a repost...MOD delete it!

OK here's what u need :

1: cutter
2: Screwdriver ( NOT THE DRINK)
3: Philips
4Liers or a BIG VICE GRIP
5: RUG or a piece of CLOTH
6: Rubber mallet (optional)

A: First.. lift ur car and take ur wheels off!

B: Take off ur fender lining

C: then Use your VICE GRIP or BIG PLIERS ( as shown ) with ur cloth on the outter part of your car's body

D: now just slowly squeeze the fender itself until you reach your desired outcome

E: now we need to trim the fender lining ...using a cutter ( only cut the outer part or the part that's hitting your tire

Some people say " JUST take it off!" but i prefer to just TRIM it!
I dont like Rocks getting stuck between the door hinges.... especially GARBAGE from the freeway getting scooped inside your fender wall

F: Now if everything is up to your satisfaction...PUT EVERYTHING BACK !!!
G: Now enjoy your RUBBING FREE CAR "No more" smell like rubber" inside your car"

Hopefully this helps out....especially for people who's into DIY

With tools at home ...u dont need to spend money on fixxing this easy JOB

It only took me 25 mins to do this JOB

There was something like this posted a while back, they ussed the tool ment to "Roll" your fender tho, not your methode. Good write up none the less, different techniques never hurt, not everyone can afford the tools to do it right unfortunetly....

oh damn

don't work on your car with that scissor jack supporting it!!!!!!!

a few years back, a friend and i were using that thing to hold up his car for just for a second while we looked at something, we got under the car, found the problem and started bullshitting while looking at the engine. all of a sudden the threaded rod ******* snapped in half for no reason and the car fell. thank god neither of us were under it.

get a real jack, and use jackstands.

when lowering

ek=you need to roll fenders, and/or take liner off

eg= no need to roll or remove fender liners

EGs need to be rolled if you're using a 40mm offset, 16" rim and 50 series tires

I have an EK and lowered it... no need to do either. I DID, however, need to take the front mud guards off. That **** kept SLAMMING the road. Even when just taking sweeping right-hand exits.

It all depends on width, offset, and tire size.

Stock 14's as well as stock 15's with lower profile tires. I'm just going for handling. Not looks.
