sounds a little high. Shop around and see if there are any other shops in your area.

Then again, i'm used to seeing rates for like 3 pulls or something.

150/hr isnt that bad from a place that knows what they are doing......

so like i said, wait for mase.

you would have rather paid twice the dyno cost instead of fixing a blown motor lol

Tobi, PFI... Mac charges $120, lil better, but I wasn't impressed with their tune.

Mase is in Gainsville, not all that far away. $150 is the average rate throughout the state. I have never been really impressed with SFP tunes before. I have seen a few cars come out of there without the timing ever being touched.

$150/hour plus tuning fees = high.. $150/hour including tuning = good price as long as you get a good tune! shouldn't take more than couple hours anyway

WHy does it have to be tuned by them? i have a volvo turbo and the chips they have is already tuned for everything, they don't have chips for civics if you tell them to tune it for 8 psi etc..?

$150 an hour including dyno & tuning fees is very reasonable.

Only if you want a blown motor. The engine/turbo system has to be tuned.

Premade chips on volvos or whatever are designed to be used with factory turbos, factory manifolds, and the factory intercooler. This is how they can get away with simple "chip" upgrades. Seen any factory turbo civics lately?
