Was just doing my weekly call around to different JDM parts places to see if anything new had come in and found out the password jdm 3 point strut tower bar is released next week.
the real question is it going to be cheap enough to warrant an upgrade from a neuspeed bar??
i bet it will be an upwards of 275$ which is far too much, we will see though

not very cost effective
if you want stiff, save the $$$ and put it towards a REAL cage, not an auto power chit.

true, but to some, a cage would not be streetable.

3 point, all aluminum oval tubing and one piece? looks good to me. welds are 1billionx's better than the carbing, and the flanges are better thought out too.

wtf?
a $200 strut bar and a $2000 cage that you should be wearing a helmet in are two completely different threads. never mind that a cage that goes through the firewall and stiffens the shock towers that much will usually make a crx handle worse. stiffer is only better to a point. our cars need a little flex to turn.
im also not very interested in carrying an extra 140 lbs when i don't need it.

there are so many exagerations in that post i don't even want to point them out. I agree though that stiffer is only better to a point.

ok, i'll help.
you got me, the pw bar is 229.
2000 is what i was quoted by a very reputable cage builder on this site for a scca and hc legal cage. if you are talking about stiffening strut towers for performance, you are talking a rr cage, although that isnt why a cage is there (safety). this design will make a crx handle worse. ask guys who have tried it. i have.
said cage in dom will weigh about 140 lbs in a crx. moly might save 10 lbs.
what's exaggerated?

Its a waste of money. If you want a strut bar just get the neuspeed one for $100 if need one, or feel that you need one.
i'm not trying to ***** myself out for pw, but i think its a nice piece.
i have the neuspeed bar on one car, i'll be buying the pw for the new car.
the neuspeed bar is steel, not aluminum, and is heavier.
i like the 3pt design. im not sure if it helps w/ the strut towers, but i can see my firewall flexing when the brakes are applied hard. hopefully this will help.

take the money that you would pay for strut bar and invest in a lower tie bar and an after market sway bar. you'll stiffen you car to an extent that isnt too much and your cornering response will be sharper... hell i made my rear strut bar.

The PW bar may be owerpriced but all well. People pony up more cash for the carbing bar and I beleive when spoon made one it was just as expensive if not more. I will let you know when install it what I think.
All I gotta say is password has been a real pleasant company to deal with
and im 100% shure their products are top notch

there are 2 threaded holes there- you might have plugs or brackets attached to them. the directions are on the pw site.
edit: actually, that't what i read in the directions, but having not actually gone out and looked at the car, i can't confirm this.
