stock 03 cbr600rr Dunlops?
i just bought an 03 CBR600RR, and it still has the stock Dunlops with plenty of tread left .. i'm just wondering are these good tires? i plan on goin to Michelins later, but how do these Dunlops perform? Any info would be great, i searched but couldn't find much info on them. Thanks!
the d208's are basically what most shops stock for their sportbike tire... they are great tires for the money, the only thing is, they take a few turns to heat up all the way
I've spun my Dunlops a couple of times on my R6 in 80 degree weather. They're not the best for high spirited riding. If you want high mileage, better traction, low cost alternatives, I'd suggest the Metzeler M1's. Or Michelin Pilot Powers for even more traction. I've heard that the Pilot Powers last about 3000~4000 miles on the streets. That's impressive for a more track oriented tire. And they're terrific in the rain if you do any of that.

I just a brand new 208 on my 03 RR. I really like it a lot. We ride pretty hard and it holds great. Only thing is like project said they take a while to get hot.
Next season its pilot powers for me.

My personal opinion of dunlop d207/208's
Michelin pilots take longer than the dunlops to heat up though so if you guys think the dunlops take too long you probably wont like the michelin pilot powers.
I have been able to get a few thousand more miles out of the michelin pilot/pilot powers than the dunlops and that is good enough for me.
I think the dunlops will be just fine for street riding.
