ls turbo...keep b16 tranny or get gsr tranny
gsr tranny is golden on an ls. i shift at redline 7k and drop back into gear at between 5000 and 5200 rpms
.
the b16 trans will get annoying at your low top speed, especially since your car will get up to 100+ mph much faster now

so many different opnions on what tranny to use.
from what i've read, longer gears aren't always better.
i'm thinking with the b16 tranny, i may have traction issues, not sure.

I would say get the GSR. Like you said you might have some traction issues with the b16 tranny. Plus you'll still have a semi-short/semi-long with the GSR. IMO it's the best all around tranny.

No, you clown.
Longer gears + turbp =
Appropriate gears + turbo =

It's not so much the traction issue with a B16 trans as much as it's you're running out of gear because you can only turn around 7000 RPM's with the LS.

Man, this topic has been beaten to holy hell!!!!!Do a search you will find lots of info...Also I used a ls trans with my hatch (ls motor) and would top out 120 at the top of fourth gear on a 24" tall slick!!! Gsr would be even worse, and a b16 would be horrible!!!
