I was inspecting the alternator because my car hasnt been charging. When lights and other accessories are turned on the belt squeals so I was inspecting the alternator. I saw this almost sparkplug looking thing sort of bent and nasty with rust when I touched it the thing broke off as you can see in the pic. I am thinking this might have been the reason why the car wasnt charging. Is there an easy way to fix this temporarily I should be getting a swap very soon.
Solder and/or lots of wound copper wire to keep the connection. With that busted, the circuit is broken and your alternator won't do diddly squat.

Thats what I was thinking about doing just getting a solder gun and try to connect it. I guess I might have found out why the car wasnt charging but it was attached maybe the condition it was in messed the charge up?
