Track times from before and after....
Well ill just sum it up, i have a 1994 gsr with an aem sri/dc 2 peice 4-2-1 header/Tanabe racing medallion exhaust/skunk 2 intake manifold/ Action 2MD unsprung clutch/ACT prolight flywheel.
I went to the local track called edgewater.. and got only four runs in before they closed on me.. my best time of the day being my last, but all being improvements of my past trip...
I ran...
60' 2.406 (bald xgtv4's, im goin back with good tires and shooting for a 2.1)
330' 6.255
1/8 9.382
MPH 79.35
1000' 12.069
1/4 14.370
MPH 97.30
I am going back this weekend if the weather holds up shooting for a 13.9 on street tires.. ill let you all know how it goes... dont hate on the time, i really did it haha...
Well as you can see above, those were my times before i turboed the teg....so now i have a new setup and am very pleased...
setup consits of
zerolift equal length mani, tial 38mm wastegate w/7lb spring, garret t3/t04e 60trim w/ .63A/R, 2.5" downpipe, 2.75" exhaust, zerolift 24x12x3 fmic, Action 2MD 6puck unsprung clutch, ACT prolight flywheel, skunk2 IM, and again like before no back seats...
this is still all in my 1994gsr 2dr... times were ran on the stock fat fives w/azenis with 20lbs of air in them...
Bone stock motor, never been touched...
tuned on 9.1lbs the car put down 279whp and 190tq
these times were on 8lbs and in 80 degree weather(reason for only 8lbs)
stock gsr trans and differential
60' 2.075
330' 5.681
1/8 8.466
MPH 89.36
1000' 10.861
1/4 12.853
MPH 113.80
backed this run up with a 12.9 as well...
id also like the experienced drag racers oppinions as well, taken into account the hot weather and only 8lbs of boost instead of 9.1, id just like to know if i have enough for the 11's with slicks and near perfect conditions... is it safe to run slicks with my drivetrain setup etc... any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

I think those are pretty good times..i suggest investing some money in an LSD and some sicks like M&H's..gut the car summore get rid of a little more dead weight. I woulda went Full 3 inch on the DP and Exhaust. Yea you can do an 11..just grab summore seat time good slicks and an LSD
92 civic LX
B16a3 swap with ~ 79k miles on her
15.3 @ 93-94 mph (can't remember, no time slip)
Drag turbo setup, dsm 450 injectors.
12.2 @ 111
4 door LX with AC, PS and no weight reduction (well, I did drop the exhaust to run open DP)
video here: along with the full time slip and mods.

So the turbo kit shaved off more than 3 seconds

i was supposed to have a 3" dp but the shop forgot i guess, so im getting a new one for free... im just very skeptical about running slicks with stock axles and differential...????
how much of a difference would it really make having an exhaust thats a 1/4" bigger?

With Slicks you should be able to break into the 11's without much dificulty. You just have to be carefull with the stock axles. Pre-load them to help them from snapping. An LSD would be a good investmet too, just do what you can when you can...
can u describe exactly what u mean, sorry ive never heard of the preloading term, i have an idea but wanna make sure i have it right?? thanks

Pre loading is just putting tension on the axles before you launch. Basically you want to let the clutch out just a little while holding the car on the line with the brake. I used to do it with the E-brake, you just have to be carefull not to red light.
thats a good time with that car and boost your running, i ran a buddies civic with a stock gs-r turbo, with 10psi, 13.02@116 on azenis with 28psi in em. 60ft was 2.2
