Default Stock block B16, Drag setup, new 1/4 mile times (with video)

(video)
http://web.ics.purdue.edu/~rdelbell/Turtle.wmv

Took my 92 civic LX 4 door to the track last night.

Finally got the right injectors (450s back in) instead of the 880s.

stock block B16 with ~ 79k miles on it.
GSR cams,
JG victor X intake manifold
70mm BBK TB
Exedy organic race clutch

ran open dowpipe tonite on 9 pounds of boost.

60 foot 1.736 (Startled me on this crazy 60 footer)
330 5.078
1/8 7.854
MPH 88.07
1000 10.268
1/4 12.296
MPH 111.06

154k miles on the chassis on STOCK suspension.

ran on 22x8x15 MT ET Drag slicks on 15x6 GSR Wheels (I think it'd get a better patch contact with some 15x8 wheels)

EDIT:
FULL interior, car still has AC and Power steering, along with a small infinity basslink sub setup in the trunk

Fast Sedan . Also, why did you say the "right" injectors (450's insted of 880's?) Something wrong w/ your 880's? Just curious. Any pics of the car?

Well, I did a drag turbo kit install on someone else's car. I thought he was supposed to bring me injectors, ended up he didn't bring any. I had the 880s on hold until I was going to put my 84mm sleeved b16 block in. But did a whole "last minute" change to 880 injectors (it barely idled and started because the fuel maps were so bad)

so couple sundays ago, it went 13.1 @ 107 mph. So with my 450s back in with a slightly "tuned" map, + open downpipe, and slicks. she hit the new 12.2 1/4 mile time.

I think if it were in a lighter chassis she might be able to go VERY high 11s. Maybe AC and PS delete + weight reduction could bring me there.

As far as dyno #s. stock b16 no mods (no gsr cams, intake manifold, 70mm TB, also apexi WS cat-back which is now upgraded) she put down 240 and 190 on 9 pounds of boost.

Yes, but I don't think I can hit that 11.8 that you ran in your CX.

Just wondering NSXMATT, does your car have AC? and did you run with full interior or ?

I think I could tune a LITTLE more HP out of the engine but 11s seem so distant.

I have full interior but no a/c. You have some more parts that could get you some more power than I had before, might tune it a little more and see what can happen. If you had about 260-270whp you should be able to hit a 11.

Yea, but I think the LX = a heavy bish.

I THINK, they say ~ 2450 with a d-series engine (whoops, I guess the EX = 2400 pounds) they say the LX ~ 2245) without AC? confused. Oh well, maybe I'll go weigh the car

link for car weights:
http://www.clubcivic.com/board/specs.php

add in the b-series (maybe another 150 pounds?)
then add another 75 pounds for a turbo kit + other misc items.

some home brewed charge piping,

and a 28x5.5x3" bar and plate intercooler.

2.5" downpipe and exhaust, no cat.

This maybe a dumb question but I need to know. Which would win. a 99gsr with short ram and header or a 99 civic si with cold air ,header and greddy evo2 exhaust?

I know they are both slow . they are practically stock but the thing is the civic beat the gsR and a 2001 mustang gt so do you think the civic si may be lying about what he has under the hood.

whatever dude its cool. i understand im a newbie on this forum but not in racing i was just confused is to why an si with those three mods is beat a gt mustang and a gsr like it was cool. considering the si's power curve is wack with no torque to save its life. its all good though. later, ill post back to you when i guess my car is fast enough to ask questions.

It's not a matter of being fast or slow. It's the matter of fact that you jacked my thread with your question.

It really doesn't matter to me, but other members might get pissed that you do that stuff in their threads.

And being a noob doesn't help.

the correct methodology would be to post your own thread so that only the persons intersted would be forced to read it not everyone. This is part of the rules here. I would suggest you make a post and not a bench racing post but maybe a help post or does this make sense or soemthing of the like.

yah, thats was hella ****** ghey of him to jack the thread...

stock 92 Lx is 2319
stock 92 Cx is 2094

Then obviously plus b-series weight and boost unit. Still, the times are friggin great considering its not a dead on tune and WHP is probably in the 265-285 range. That 1.7 60' sure as hell was money!

I finally got my turbo b18c CX running, just needed a tune,,, then the trans went south. So shes apart again waiting on the trans to be rebuilt. So i bought s200b in the mean time
My goal is 2000 lbs with driver, 300WHP, and 11.9999999s lol
2 weeks il know hopefully!!

good times! do some finer tuning and weight reduction on that car! 11s for sure if you keep those 1.7's rollin in!
