Default Anyone have a problem shifting?

Only happens to me when i'm going into third quickly, it seems to grind a bit when i'm putting it into place, other than that all the other gears are fine. A friend said maybe the syncros where bad? Anyone else have an idea?

What year civic is it? could be warranty. How many miles and I'll check the ISIS network for Honda Techs.

Sorry cuz I looked nd no recalls. My bad dude I hate giving bad news. Good news is it's honestly not that hard to fix.

If you want to test if the syncro went bad, double clutch before shifting into 3rd.. if there is no grind then its the syncro..

Alot of these grinds are from shifting too fast with the stock trans. I recently had to print something for a customer that shifted way too fast, and I had to replace 3rd synchro. If I find it, I'll post it just can't remember what service news it was under.

I had noises and some grinding a LONG time ago... I switched to Redline MTL and it COMPLETELY went away... now almost 100k miles later the input shaft bearing is occaisionaly making a noise like it's going to go...

But for 30 bucks or so in tranny fluid I got an extra 100 thousand miles out of my trans... I had mechanics telling me that it was time to start looking for a new trans.

Just a side note... I've since replaced the Redline with penzoil's synchromesh Not friction modified and it seems to shift just as smooth...

I highly recomend looking into this before shopping for a tranny.

Also it could be a VERY long time even on whatever fluid is in there now before the gear is actually in-accessable/unusable.

What kind of fluid is in there now?
