OBD2 B18C(R) EF RUNNING CAN IT RUN OBD1
My question is that looking to trade my bike for a EF, and i have a 96 hb with a 96 ITR swap done. But i like the the older body style. I'm running my motor OBD1 right now with a p28 ecu. I think the EF's are obd0 and the motor OBD2 but i want it to run obd 1. can some one tell me if i have to change any parts or get a harness made or what. thanks
You have to do an obd0-obd1 conversion on the EF.
It basically involves getting an obd0-obd1 conversion harness and hooking up a few wires, since you already have the obd1 distributor, o2 sensor, and ecu.
Check out http://www.rywire.com if you arent up to doing the wiring yourself. Ryan is a good guy and has great harnesses. Good luck

no i don't have the obd1 distributor, o2 sensor. I just have p28 ecu, and the the harness that lets you use a obd 1 ecu on a obd 2 motor it's a adapter harness. or some thing like that.

well if you have an obd2 distributor, its the same thing as an obd1, just has a single plug instead of the two plugs like obd1
