Racing seats under $500
do you know what type of racing seats I can get for under $500(pair). I heard Tenzo's
I was doing custom wrapping of my whole interior, I was gonna get some racing seats, and do wrapping around them anyway, so I don't care about brand name's e.t.c. I just want something that's comfortable as well as sporty.
Any ideas of seats/where to get em?

Corbeau. Get something real, and not immitation. Think about safety when getting in an accident. most of those seats you purchase are made cheaply and will fall apart in an accident.

This man speaks the truth.
EDIT: Is that car in your profile really the way yours looks right now?

Do you guys know this for sure? Have you actually seen cheaper seats fall apart in accidents? Not trying to be an ***, just saying if you don't have proof then I don't think you can state what you said. If you do have proof, more power to ya.
no but there's no way I'm taking chances with a cheap *** seat... people don't buy recaro seats + takata harness just for looks.

You kinda right, there is no real proof that an immitation breaks in accident and non imitation doesn't. It wouldn't even be logical to conclude so. Its something good to think about, but I also think that if I'm at the point where my seat is about to break apart, I must have broken already. lol

definitely not. if you do happen to get in a wreck your regular seatbelt will cause neck/back injury.
you must have a harness mounted atleast level (or above) your shoulders, requiring a cage of some sort. but most people don't do it the right way anyway.
edit: you CAN use your regular seat belt, it's just not very safe.

wow, hmm.... neck and back injuy sounds painfull..(kinda lol, but serious)
Quick question, how do people usually get( the harness) connected at the back, I've seen some draging the belts all the way through the back seats, is that the only way to do it(in terms of neatness/functionality)?

lol I get your points guys, people buy these JDM red thrones and green harnesses because they look good but it does serve its purpose... IMO you can find a lot of good deals on sparco seats, PM Flipfellah, he's selling a sparco seat for 150, pretty good deal if you ask me, and btw you dont need the harness
so when you get harness, must you get the harness bar to lock the harness in, I'm looking at these harnesses on ebay, and the harness bar is rediculous cost. Same cost of the racing seat itself, I dunno if that makes sense. Does one need the harness bar?
well the harness bar allows you to have the harness strapped at the right angle so you don't end up snapping your spline, just stick with your regular seat belt, besides if you'r daily drivign the car you'll be better off with the regular seat belts because when you get involved in an accident and you dont have triangulated roll cages, you won't be able to move your body and you'll end up being crushed by the roof
I don't know if the buddy club seats are FIA approved but they're pretty cheap for around 350+ each but they hug your *** a lot, they're kinda small, look for great deals in the classifieds, I've seen people selling sparcos hella cheap!!!!!11111111

LOL yes they do. As a matter of fact ALOT of the cars on here are nothing more than "show cars" not that there's anything wrong w/ that.
