Default Sometimes starting the car will take 2 tries

Sometimes when I try to start my car when I first try to start it, it will just turn over and not start. If I stop and try again it will start up without problems. Now whats mainly confusing me is that it doesnt seem the matter wether the car is warmed up or not. Little info on the car:
1996:
D16Y7 w/ Y8 head timing is stock at 12* on idle
Edelbrock Intake Mani/H/E
~New cap and rotor
~plugs are fine and so are the wires
~Optima Yellow top and alternator is fine - I doubt its got anything to do with not hvaing enough power
~running OBD 1 p28 w/ uberdata - NO CEL's

Anyone have any imput on what else I could check. Yes I realize this is the FI forum but people in the EG/Del Sol forum seem to be busy with "my car was stolen" threads and would like to take care of these small issues before I go boost (waiting on injectors to come in and have to make a downpipe).

TIA

My friends integra did this and we changed his main relay and fuel pump relay and it started right up after that and has ran fine since then. I know it sounds weriod but hell it worked... Oh and his car was doing what yours is doing for like a month and then it wouldnt start one day..

hmm... come to think of it... it would make sense that it might have something to do with the main relay... I installed a greddy turbo timer with a relay into my alarm/ign wires. Everything works perfectly like its supposed to, I can arm my alarm with the car running off the turbo timer... Its only happened twice where I havent been able to start the car at all for like 5 mins... Its like I wasnt getting any power at all... I would have accesory power but my ecu was getting now power and neither was my ignition or starter signal...thanks for the reply g

re-solder the joints in the main relay. sometimes old joints dry out and have poor electrical contact. you can check my turning the key to the on position and sometimes you WON'T hear the pump priming.
