UPDATE: PLease read down page..

I have a set of used H&R Race springs for my gf's 98 Accord Sedan..

I am curious how low will these springs drop her car?

Any one with these springs?

2-2.5 inches, it will be a pretty low drop, pretty close to tucked wheels

I ran the h&r race springs for quite a while before I changed and they definately were every bit of a 2.5" drop (maybe a tad more technically).... it was pretty low for around here.

Never dared to cross a speed bump and had to drive over even a slight curb at a angle to keep from rubbing the front end or whatnot... was very **** though, looked great.

should be a 2.25-2.5 inch drop. if you have 17+ wheels on the car, you run a risk of rubbing on the inside of your wheel wells during u-turns and other sharp turns during acceleration. if youre on stock rims, itll be fine. be careful on driveways, though. look into kyb agx shocks, or koni yellows. tokiko blues are a more affordable alternative, though some ppl say that theyre only slightly better than the stockers.

best case scenario, i think itll be borderline (with occasional rubbing when youre careless). depends on what size tires you run. if you do 215/35 or 215/40, you might just get by. but a disclaimer: ive never experienced this exact setup first hand, im only judging from previous knowledge.

yea, copy that. i believe theyre red in almost all applications. the H&R logo is stamped on there, as well as teh part number, followed by "F" for fronts and "R" for rears. you should be able to look it up on their website. pretty sure the red ones are all Race. i think their step up, the "Sport" is black, but not sure on that. just look up the part, thats one sure way to know ;D

Thank you guys for the advice..

I looked up on there website and saw that we have the OE Springs.. Looks like my gf's car is not going to be dumped like I thought it would be.. Now since she is going to be having OE Springs and not lowered as much.. what kind of shocks can we run?

Here is an exerpt from the H&R website

H&R OE Sport Springs lower your vehicle subtly, giving it a slightly more aggressive stance without radically changing its appearance. Designed to enhance front-to-rear balance and street handling performance, OE Sport Springs take the "wallow" out of the stock suspension, providing a more controlled feel and improved ride characteristics. All this while retaining the ride comfort you're accustomed to with added confidence.

stockers will be fine, unless theyre really old. have someone qualified look at your shocks, and if they need to be replaced ANYWAYS, then u might as well do it while youre getting the new springs.. then u can have an complete extra set for stock suspension, in case u ever want to go back.

Well I think that I am going to sell this suspension and get her something better..

This time around do you suggest I get the Race Setup? or Sport Setup?

It seems as if the Race Setup is too low...

Also with the Sport Setup what kind of shocks would you be able to run?

race = lowest (around 2.25 drop), highest spring rates when compressed, better handling, potentially harsher ride (even though its progressive)

sport = not quite as low (around 1.5 drop), pretty high spring rates (but not as high as race), improved handling (not as much as race), semi-harsh ride (not as stiff as race)

pick whatever works best for you.

as for shock, i dont know too much about shocks, but ive heard three names that work well with accords: kyb agx, tokiko blues, koni yellow. do a lil search on each, check out the prices and what each of em offer, and select from there. these three offer a good lineup.

Well since its my gf's car and she is going to be the main person driving I think i'll go with the sport springs..

Thanks man for the advice you have answered all of my q's!!
