Ls or Gsr
First let me say that i did search
The following words are too short or too common and were not included in your search: r, ls
So basically search was no help. What i want to know is what are the stock hp numbers for an integra ls and a gsr
Im thinking of selling my civic to buy an integra and dont know jack about tegs,
heres what im assuming ls=b17 non vtec and gsr=b18 vtec
But what are the stock numbers?
Thanks

ls = B18b NON VTEC 140 hp (crank) in G3 trim.
GSR = B18C1 VTEC 170 hp (crank) in G3 trim.
92-93 GSR = B17a VTEC 160 hp (crank) in G2 trim.
Type R = B18C5 VTEC 195 hp (crank) in G# trim.
G3 ls and gsr are very similar with the exception of tranny and motor.

it wont, cuz the stock gsr crank and pistons are better etc. pretty much ur missin the gsr bottom end with ls/vtec. personally id go with gsr cuz thats what i got. 8000 rpm redline is a must with me.

It's easier to find an LS or GS (GS is the same as an LS but it has leather seats). A GSR is hard to keep due to **** thieves but well worth it. Insurance on the GSR's are more due to the theft rate as well.

yes you can put the VTEC head on it, it is just like any other LS/GS/RS motor. You still have to tap and plug the oil passage. They make kits or you can get just sandwich adapter to feed oil into the head.
i personaly like my ls... from a dig with nothing but a gsr tranny it will pull a gsr.. the money u save by getting an ls u could put towards a ls/vtec conv. or a turbo setup... and its easier to find an ls that isnt molested
