Is Jet Hot coating a header HC H1 legal?
You dont think it'll lower underhood temps? Are their claims all hogwash?!?! I am also thinking of the oil pan temps.....
Non-sticky heat wrap if you're just worried about underhood temps? And whereabouts are you racing? On the East Coast I've never had problems with overheating or anything.

When I put a mild steel header on my wife's MG Midget, I had it coated as much to prevent rust as anything else. This was about 5 years ago and it still looks like the day I put it on, inside and out. The BMC A-series engine has the intake and exhaust on the same side of the head, and is sometimes prone to vapor lock. The coated header eliminated this problem and noticeably reduced the underhood temp.
Since then I've always had my headers coated. Doesn't cost that much, makes the header last longer, and getting more heat away from the engine can't hurt.
