Default clifford concept 40 vs. cliffalert 3

i know these are both old alarms but i just got a car that has a cliffalert 3 installed in it and i've had a concept 40 sitting for a couple years doing nothing. the cliffalert is very poorly installed in the car. you know, the usual brain under the dash thing, power straight off the battery, wires easily traceable, etc.. something that would take a thief about 20 sec to render useless. well i'm going to be completely reinstalling the thing in a much more secure fashion and was wondering while i was at it if i should just remove the whole thing and replace it with the concept 40? i know neither alarm is "the bomb" but i'm just wondering if one is better then the other? and before you go off saying i'm a cheap bastard for using either of these OG alarms i'll add that an alarm will not be the only defense.. my custom install will have several lines of defense including kill switches, hood lock, ems hopefully, etc.. teken would be so proud! hehe..

so whadda think? is it worth pulling everything on the cliffalert 3 and going with the concept 40? btw, i checked clifford's page and they have a manual for a concept 40 but nothing at all about the cliffalert.. man, is this thing just old as dirt or what!?

Default Re: clifford concept 40 vs. cliffalert 3 (bojangs)

well in looking futher through clifford's page i found the wiring diagrams for both and i will be using the concept 40 instead of the cliffalert 3.. man that cliffalert is basic.. no room to grow really.. ah well..

any comments on either are still welcome! anyone have any thoughts about the quality of the concept 40??
