well i am sure everyone is gonna tell u to turbo it, which i also think you should but hey its your car. Best SC on the market for a 4 banger is the Vortech unit, good top end and sounds great, little pricy. You could get Jackson racing but i have heard a ton of bad things about their units, less in price and more low end torque. Up to u but i say turbo it, greddy makes a kit for your car for about $1500+intercooler+BOV, way more worth it. or you can do a DIY kit for around a grand. so yea.............

Every know it all on this site will tell you to get a turbo. No matter what anyone says the supercharger is a great choice, i supercharged my b16 with the vortec unit and it runs safe on 10psi all day. I ended up paying $2000 can and found a great used unit. What were you looking to spend and what were your goals out of this project?

just go here, great prices
http://www.city-speed.com/webs....html

oh and yeah were know it alls for what reason, cuz a turbo will wreck a supercharged motor any day of the week, or superchargers are cheaper??? please. everyone goes with a turbo charger cause they no that they make more power, people with superchargers are just jelious because they didnt do enough research on what other options they had.

dont listen to people that tell you to SC your car, their obviously ill informed.

Yea. SC's are cool. Old tech, but cool nonetheless. They can make nice streetable power. Maybe even a bit more reliable. Hopefully this won't turn into a SC vs Turbo thread. cuz both are good.

Hey Urbansi, I live around you. I went to Nazareth right next door to ya.

After re-reading the thread... I have this advice. If you decide to turbo your car rather than supercharge then ur best bet is to make a custom kit. Greddy Kits are a bit overrated in my opinion. I pieced together a kit for under a grand that makes more power than the Greddy and not to mention you learn a whole bunch more.

If you decide to go SC still I say stick with a Jackson. They are floating around the web for pretty cheap. Vortech's are also overrated/overpriced imho.

I said SC's were cool. Lay off. But really.

SC's have their place. Don't get me wrong.

30+ Psi in a fraction of a second? yea...

But for ur Z6 a nice T25 setup can build boost immediately and hold 10psi nicely for very cheap.

I hear all jackson racing super chargers are rebuilt/re-manufactured.

Also everyone I know that owned a super charger, got bored of it and got a turbo.

jackson racing is a company that enjoys selling bullshit roots type blowers that blow motors, IMO their no better than SS Autochrome & APC or anyother bullshit performance brand. only thing i would buy from them is a fuel filter everything else has a curse on it like all swap meet products

I know for a fact that Jackson SC are not rebuilt units. They are a good piece... I had one on the rex before turning it into a pure track car. Power was always there and never had a problem with it.

That breaks in less than a quarter mile too. haha, just kidding. 55 psi is nice.

Back to topic: I am going to say that the Z6 supercharger will work on your crx. They are relativelty the same engines, someone please correct me if I am wrong.

eh... it will fit the head. The only issue is the belt. That... I am not sure. If someone wanted to know.. a call to Jackson would clear things up. Also I bet its been discussed on HT... search maybe?
