pw0 and pr3
i just did my b16a swap in my crx...and my red line with my pwo 5spd is only 7200. when my buddy has a ef hatch with same motor but pr3 and he revs to 8200? i did hook up a vfac... but shouldent my rev limit on the pwo be 8200 also?
codes will make your redline lower. or a cold engine. let it warm up and try each ecu. a knock sensor code on my pr3 won't let me into the vtec upper lobe, and puts my fuel cutoff (redline) at about 7000, but my pw0 lets me into vtec and keeps the 8200 rpm redline, while throwing the same code.
yep. this seems to be the case for me too. my pw0 ecu takes longer to be happily warmed up vs my pr3 that doesn't seem to give a rip. needless to say, i use the pr3 at autoX. but for some reason, the pw0 seems peppier.

i had a 22 code which on a jdm ecu is onli pressure sensor...which turned out to be a loose wire in the connector.....i took my ecu and put it into a another jdm b16 and hwe was able to redline right to 8200....i think it could be my jdm cluster? bvecuase i threw a VSS code when i firt ran the motor which turned out to be, the vss was hooked up wrng, and my tach goes right to 3000 rpm on startup and never drops? any ideas thanks

Seems that one type of ECU decides to lower the redline based on other conditions that others.
I've never been abe to fully determine what wiil, and what will not affect these decisions.

My brother had the same problem until we hooked up a knock sensor. do you have your knock sensor hooked up? if not that could possibly be it. after we installed and hooked it up it went to 8200.
