so i was the DD a few weeks back and was picking up my friend from his house to go to a party. i park perpendicular to his driveway and wait for him to come out. the next thing i know his wrangler is ontop of my car. he forgot to put his ebrake up and it rolled into my fender. it dented up my fender pretty good and bent my strut right above the knuckle. i fixed the strut by getting d2's but didnt get around to fixing the fender cause i currently dont have a job and used the money from insurence to pay my car payment this month. the fender didnt look too bad since the paint wasent chipped so i just sucked it up and have been driving her around like that.



then today i was driving around and this guy pulls up next to me and says he can fix it for me cheap and for me to pull over for an estiamte. i say what the hell and follow him. he tells me he will color match, and fix the dents for 300 bucks. i was kinda hesitant and was actually kinda pissed that i even pulled over seeing that i already bought the fender and had hookups for paint and install. his brother gets out of the car and starts talking all this **** about how i had to do this now and it would look so good and this was a one time offer. the start playing with the fender and try to pop out. he says that he would even show me how good the work was by doing a free test spot. so i said ok thinking they would just pop out the small ding with the crowbar like they had been doing. they tell me to get in the car and step on the brakes (why i dont know) but since im a idiot i did. i hear them pullin and popping and doing all this **** but when the hammering is heard i get out of the car to see what the **** they are doing. to see this.






now instead of just having a big dent in my fender, i also have like 5 holes w/chipped paint. after that i bascially said **** off and went home.

damn, sorry to hear that. hopefully things will work themselves out.

 

They are really not that bad.... I mean you do have another fender waiting to be put on....

but yeah im just too poor to get the fender sprayed right now. but looking at the bright side im gonna tell people that i got shot at after beating up some spurs fans

I wouldn't worry about it SiR Phil from the sound of his thread it's probably a miracle this guy finds his way home at night

 

Just get an aftermarket fender and the paint code is on the door jamb followed by the eleventh digit in the v.i.n. and have a dent pro painter paint it on the side for a few bills. Dont have to color match brand new car and no pearl so paint would not have to blended to door if he is good . even better if you bolt on the fender yourself and have the fender preped before paint.. it 's not that bad but the buckle by the door on the fender would not have lasted with bondo so just go legit.

you didn't give them $300.00 too did you? Sorry about your car. I ran into the same kind of situation where some random guys out on the road asked me if I wanted to fix the dent that I had on my 03 LX for few hundred bucks.. I asked them I couldn't do it right away and asked for their business cards but they said they didn't have it because blah blah... so I just told them forget it.. Good thing I wasn't drunk or on any drugs at all...

 

i was the DD, which means Designated Driver, dont ******* accuse me of being a drunk driver. i would never drive me ep if i was wasted. dont jump to conclusions.

 

oh, and i def didnt pay for anything. i actually have a fender that i bought from honda for 177 and can get it sprayed and installed for 200, so i wouldnt pay 300 for a crappy *** job when i can get it done professionally for 77 bucks more.

 

I woun't even call those tiny bullet holes "crappy *** job", seriously I'd rather have the "crappy *** job" than those holes you got there..

why would u ever have some foo's off the street fix ur fender. shoulda asked em for a license b/c thats bullshit. id rather wait or make a claim or pay out of pocket, have a good body shop do it
