Here's my setup:

D16Z6 head
D16A6 block
D16Y8 intake manifold

I should have a smog check coming up in the near future. I was wondering if I needed to switch out the D16Y8 with the D16Z6 Intake Manifold. Would I have to purchase the D16Z6 AEM intake for it to pass smog or can I use my stock air box off the D16A6.

Basically which AEM intake would I Need for it to pass smog?

any one, or put yourstock one on

 

just put the stock air box on for the smog check

or any AEM is CARB legal

First off, technically you should fail regardless of intake b/c of the A6 block with Z6 head).
I say just throw stock A6 intake piping with box and call it a day. If your valve cover says VTEC, swap it out to the plain Z6 one.
