Default sohc transmission problems

ok i just put another dx tranny on my d15b7 and we got it all bolted up then i started it up and tried starting off and didn't go anywhere..someone thought maybe it was the axles not being on right, and someone thinks maybe the trannys not on right..well i went through all the gears and my speedometer needle started to go up and showed up to 80 mph with me just sitting there. what do you guys think? thanks for any answers

check out your speed sensor, should be located on the top side of the tranny, its really accesible from under the hood and only takes 1 10mm bolt to remove....make sure that is hooked up right...that could be the cause of the speedo malfunctioning.....i dont know why it wont go anywhere??

Push them back in. There is a snap ring about a 1/4 in. from the end. When It is in it will snap in to place. Just tap the axel back in with a hammer and a piece of wood.

I had to take the boot off my axel and reseat and re-grease it because when I pulled it off, I pulled a bit too hard and it popped out of the spindal? or whatever, it wouldn't just pop back in so I had to take the boot off and do it.

Man, take it easy on those poor axels. When removing them you should never pull them out. When taking them out you should pry them out with a prybar against the tranny.
