Default noise from timing belt

i've did a search and this was the closes topic i found. i just wanted to verify since the post was rather old.

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=627657

according to this post, when changing the timing belt, water pump, ac belt, etc., it takes 2 weeks to a month for the squealing to go away. is this true?

i just changed it yesterday and every time i start up the car when it has been sitting there for a few hours, it squeals for a few seconds and then it is fine after that. should i be concerned? after the few seconds of squealing, you can barely hear anything abnormal. i changed all the belts, water pump, and a few seals on a 97 accord ex (automatic). someone please help. i'm paranoid right now to start my car up. thanks in advance!

This is not normal and it may not go away by itself. The last time I had my belts changed my car did that for weeks afterward. When I took it back for another service I was scheduled to have performed I complained and they said no problem. I don't know what the fix was, but they got it to stop that day. I know I tightened the alternator belt and it did not help at all. I also checked the PS pump belt and it was also nt the problem. I believe it may be an issue with the timing belt tensioner.

I've read that it will shreak if the balance shaft belt is too tight

i don't know if this would help, but i noticed that when i turn on the a/c while the engine is turned on, it does make that squealing sound. could the a/c belt be the culprit?
