94 VTEC - timing belt
I just bought a bone stock 94 VTEC with 99K miles. Is there an easy way to determine if the timing belt has been changed? I don't want to go to the trouble/expense if it has already been done.
There isn't an EASY, 5 minute, deffinitive answer, way that I know of. Anyone else?
My best advice would be take it to a shop and have the valve cover taken off and look. Or you could take off the timing belt covers, I suppose that would be easier, and drive to a place and have them look and give an opinion.

The best way to tell if it has been done for sure is to take it to a mechanic and have them replace it. You should then be able to sleep at night without visions of valves pounded into the faces of pistons.
