ECU, dizzy, conversion harness, and just wire your VTEC solenoid into your exhisting harness

I am not 100% sure about the dizzy but you will need a P28 or P08 ecu, conversion harness, and a 4 wire oxygen sensor if you use the P28 ecu.

you could stay non OBD and just use a apexi vafc for vtec, just get it tuned on a dyno

or get an RPM switch from summitracing and hook up vtec to that. you could still stay OBD0 and avoid having to pay out more $$$

the switches are like 40 bux

the rpm switch works but it's deffinatly not the best idea. You'll either be rich down low or lean up top. Not the best situation and deffinatly not maximizing the potential of the motor.

are you serious? A non-z6 d-series distributor will fit a y8 head? I hope you're right because i'm about to swap my y8 mini-me to obd-1.

if you stay non OBD the apexi vafc would work since you could tune the air/fuel ON A DYNO/WIDEBAND w/VTEC.

ok, but dyno time and a vfac is $$$ right there, just use the ecu honda intended and then mod IT later if you really want.

im not saying that way doesnt work, but not everyone has a wideband and free dyno time handy.

i dont really see any advantages of pre obd, except the cost of upgrading, which would be negated in the case of buying a bunch of **** to emulate an ecu that honda makes....

You can use the y8 dizzy, no need to use a z6, internally the obd1/2 are the same, its basically just the plug that need to be changed out (well, theres more to it than that, ill take care of that tho!)

basically, if you go obd1, go ahead and use the y8 dizzy
