Default Type of grease to put on shifter????? Help a guy out

Well my stock ITR shifter got bent somehow so I bought a new one from the dealer for 47 bucks w/ my discount.

I was wondering what type of grease to use on the ball of the shifter. The Helms says grease it but it does not say what kind. Is lithium grease ok?

I made a post about thsi years back, some folks said teflon, but not sure which is the correct one to use. Lithium or teflon. I want OEM feel.

I use Amsoil high temp/high pressure wheel bearing grease. The area is actually subject to heat from the b-pipe....so you want something that will not get "baked" away.....

I almost always notice a sig. improvement when I "overhaul" shifters in other Hondas..... clean/polish the metal ball, apply high temp grease...install ES shifter bushings and it's good to go
