hmm, you can still shift into all the gears but 5th slips? Sounds like you got internal tranny problems. Is there any fluid leaking from the drain hole in your tranny (bottom of bellhousing)?

Sounds like you burned your clutch, and your clutch was slipping. How long do you have your clutch?

Going in 4th gear, floor your car all the way. If you see the rpm goes up but the car doesn't move then your clutch is bad. Labor for changing the clutch is about $350-$500 depends where you go.

5th gear is the furthest to where the oil resides it gets lubricated by tubes to get oil up there now if you were low on fluid or had 90w oil in tranny it cannot lubricate 5th gear thus it will overheat and burn and wear down . once worn it cannot mash with the other gear on the countershaft so it feel like you are in neutral ,,,,, i have seen it many times because people put 90w oil in tranny did someone replace tranny fluid recently??? was trany leaking before??5th gear sit way at the top you dont have to pull tranny out to replace just pull out rear case and you have good access to it
