bought a new o2 sensor, still throws code.
Alrighty, long long time ago I noticed my car was running super rich, so I checked my ECU to see what code I was throwing. 1, 7, 17, and 43 were the lucky numbers, so I decided to take car of the easiest one. I went to autozone, bought a heated o2 sensor(bosch), I made sure it was the right part, and installed it the following day. I noticed my gas mileage increased, and there was less black **** being gagged on my bumper and hatch. So...I checked my ECU to see if the code was gone, and to see if it might have got rid of lucky number 43.
Well, I pulled the ECU fuse out for about a minute, stuck it back in, looked at the ECU while my dad cranked the key. Hrmm.... lucky numbers are: 1, 7, 17, 43.
I was still throwing o2 sensor, VSS, TPS, and fuel supply/delivery system.
My question is...why in the hell am I still throwing o2? bad wiring somewhere??

i think you have to take out the fuse for about 10 minutes for it to fully clear but not to sure. but i do know it's longer then a minute
i had that problem, turn out when i reset my ecu it fucked up the o2 sensor, so i had to replace it with a new one. and i herd somewhere that when installin a new o2 sensor you need to drive for a bit to break it in. flooring it might burn the o2 sensor. dont know if that is acutally true, but might help you from not doing it. i messed up and wasted mroe money on a 2nd o2 sensor
oh wells, life goes on.
