yeah, my friend bought this 2000 gsr a year ago n when i drove his car, for some reason when i punch it it doesnt cherp from 1st to 2nd n even to 3rd. its weird cuz all of manual cars i've drive cherp but not his. If u know any possiblility why, please reply.---thanks bao

 

the clutch might not be solid. my 94 gsr rips the **** out of th tires to 2nd, probrably your driving

it should chirp, redline it all the way. lol I made mines chirp from 1st to 2nd then 2nd to 3rd. Just shift into your powerband and it should chirp.

 

Who cares if it doesn't chirp. Chirping doesn't mean the car's powerful, what it basically mean's is your friends car probably has better tires and a better suspension package than any other car you've ever tried that DOES chirp!!

Oh yeah, chirping during racing makes you loose time! think about it

 

mayb its the tires/weather...mine wont chirp some times but i can feel it spinning.....when its warm i chirp the hell outta them

chriping means your tires suck..i bought my gsr with bald tires and could chirp the **** out of any gear, but not with my new khumo mx's

of course with enough hp your tires with break loose anyways..buts its not a hp benchmark

yes i tried that,

 

My GSR used to chirp but after I installed new wheels/tires and suspension it will no longer chirp. In fact the 1st to 2nd shift became much more violent. (With respect to previous 1st to 2nd, I know 170hp ain't gonna be all that violent)
