Weighed the race car...
Season starts next week and I wanted to weigh the car before treh inspection ... I was pleasantly surprised: 2350 in race trim, without me in it. This is very cool since that's exactly the minimum weight allowed for my chassis/engine combo (any 1.8 liter Honda/Acura) in the local series.
I can't believe we took out 250 pounds from the stock weight! The car is still street legal and has all the window glass still intact, as well as power windows. Lexan is allowed in the series, but I'm glad to know that my competitors will weigh as much as me (although their weight will be better located). So I guess I'll be keeping the power windows and power steering, not scraping the floor tar and working on other stuff instead (like the driver!).

That is great Vincent, I am glad to hear it
Are you still racing in the same series with this car than the one you were racing in with the white hatch ?

I never raced the white car in the Federation Auto Quebec series, only EMRA, St-Eustache and Tremblant series.
This car will be run in Touring, the FAQ class that's somewhat like World Challenge Touring. Come and check out a race, it will be quite entertaining.

Yeah, they really hammered the Honda 1.8's this year. Maybe you should just carry a 200-pound passenger, like the ice-racers!

Yeah, ok... And cat converters are required too. And your exhaust cannot be modified to be louder than stock (but they dont have db meters to verify). And you have to have rear seatbelts installed even if rear seat is removed, etc... Welcome to Quebec, osti...

Well...that worked out good
as long as you have the same amount of fuel as when you weighed it at the end of the race then your ok right?
You could always install a secret fuel tank like BAR
