Default Stock crossmember

I have couple of quick questions...........

1) If you remove the crossmember only and not the radius arms will it mess up the alignment of the car? I have to either hammer down or chop of the lip of my stock 90 si crossmember and make room for the DC 4-1 header. I know buying a aftermarket, Jimfab, Z10, or full-race is the good way too go, but Iam tight on budget right now. If i do this will it affect any suspention performance?

2) Which exhaust gasket will work on a JDM B16A1, with a DC 4-1 header. 94 del sol VTEC or 00 Si or both.

3) What dougnut should I buy?

4) Since right now Iam have two 02 censor, the DC has 1 pung for the censor, will it be ok to use one 02 censor instead of 2? without the CEL being on. Thank you fellas. I have searched but found few results which werent much of help.

its a bad idea to drive with out a cross member..if you have to just cut alittle off to make the header fit..

you can use any b series ex gasket..

and yes you will have a cel if both 02's are not hooked up..

Ok, so how would you go about making a 2nd pung, So two 02 censors can be used on the Dc header?

Notch out your x-member, that is the cheapest easies way to get around not buying an aftermarket piece.

You can split the signal of your 1 02 sensor (if you chose to run 1) so that you don't get a cel. However, I am assuming the bung is near the collector, one big problem is that the o2 sensor does not get hot enough to function at this location, for this reason a lot of people will run a heated 02 sensor from an obd1 car. Your alternative to this would be to take the header to an exhaust shop and have them weld in bungs on primary 1 & 2, and plug the bung next to the collector.

Yah I would rather use 1 censor instead of 2, but how would you split the signal? If I were to get a heated 02 censor from OBD1 what would I need to change?

To split the signal you simply fork the signal wire and run it into the respective spots on the ECU. Your typical 02 sensor has 2 wires, the signal and the ground. The heated sensor is a 4 wire sensor with a signal, power, and 2 grounds. You don't have to actually switch anything, just wire the power to a switched power source. Some people with argue against this because the obd1 ecu toggles the power on and off, heating up the o2 sensor only when necessary...in our case the 02 will be heated any time the car is on; will it shorten o2 life? Possibly, but they're like $40.

If you search the archives "wire AND sensor" exactly as I typed it you will find a lot of information on it.

I will be doing the same thing we are discussing on my swapped car shortly in the future, I am thinking about wiring the power to a switch, that way I could turn off the power when I wanted.
