Default Strut/Control Arm?

I'm hearing this loud pop noise when I come to a hault or when I turn sharp curves...The struts are still factory and the chassis has around 112,000 on it...I'm thinking its my struts or control arms....I know its not the axles because they are new and it's not more than one farely loud pop sound. I'm thinking that its more my struts gone bad from talking to people and this other guy that has the same problem with his EG...but I just wanted to see what someone else thinks? Thanks

This is a tough one. There are so many places to start looking but before you start spending money on parts try re torque your engine cradle and other suspension components.
I had a banging popping sound in my 95 civic coupe. You could feel it in the floor boards and it happened on starts, stops, and sharp turns. Three shops miss diagnosed it, after I changed bearings, balljoints, tie rod ends, cv axles… it turned out to be the two bolts closest the front of the car that held the engine cradle in place. I only got about a ¼ turn out of them by torquing to spec. didn’t seem like much but it was enough. It was a very good day.
