Default tokico shocks and springs?

I have a quick question, I dont know a whole a lot about suspension. I'm looking to lower my 95 gsr and I just do daily driving, i dont plan on racing or autocross, i just want a little better handling. I found a good deal for the tokico hp blue shocks , with the tokico lowering springs and 1.75' drop for 300. I could upgrade to the tokico illumina's for 150 more. 300 for a suspension set up seems cheap to me, is it junk? should I go with one of them or a totally different brand?

It will be fine for your needs. Tokico makes great dampeners, and ok springs.

how stiff of a ride do u want? i dont know if the blues are adjustable, but the illuminas are supposed to be pretty good. but if u want adjustable shocks..get the illuminas.

Blues are non-adjustable; the ride is firm but not harsh. I went with Tokico Blues and Eibach Prokit on my gf's 2000 Celica GTS. Tokico is a great dampener.

I have the tokico illumina advanced suspension kit and in my opinion about it is that the rear is not stiff enough, but the front is very stable. The only thing I would get is an itr sway bar to compensate the rear. With eibach pro kit + tokico illuminas are really good. That's what I'm about to get.

yeah i was just looking on ebay and came upon the tokico blues with the tokico springs for only like 350 or something like that. I wasn't sure if it was cheap stuff or not. considering all I want is to lower my car so it looks nicer and a little stiffer of a drive, i dont need it for race or autocross.
