Default ls/vtec turbo set up, need help

I'm thinking about doing a ls/vtec turbo set up soon and was just wondering if there's anything I need to look out for or if there are any good parts to make it more reliable. Here's what I'm thinking so far...

-B18B Block
-B16a2 head
-GSR cams
-Arp Head studs
-GSR tranny
-p72 or p28 ecu
-Stock sleeves
-Stock head?
-Stock pistons/rods
-Tial 38mm Wastegate
-Tial BOV
-Full-Race/Neukin mani
-3" Downpipe
-Precision 680cc injectors
-Precision "middle size" fmic
-Not sure on what turbo
-Walbro 255 LPH Fuel Pump
-Neptune

I think that's it... Wanting to get around 350whp.

Unless you plan on revving past 8k, no.

i went ahead and upgraded the valvetrain just so i dont have to worry about them later. 475 for valves, springs and retainers from stan at fast-turbo.

why are you gonna spend 1200 on a fullrace mani spend half that on a inlinefour mainfold, put the left over money on other stuff

Honestly, if you want to make 350 daily.
I would recommend some cp pistons & eagle rods :-)

i'd throw in some pistons and rods just to strengthen the bottom end. at least get the arp rod bolts if your gonna use stock pistons and rods

i used to rev to 8700 on stock b16a valvetain. pretty badass man...good luck with the build!

go with an sc61....nice for ls/vtec and will support good #'s when and if you want to build your ebgine more.

the rod bolts are the weakest point in the bottom end and its always good to spend the 100 bucks and upgrade them. shoot i have the arp headstuds, rod bolts and main studs. just because i dont want something to break on me and ruin my sleeved block

its just extra insurance and worth it

what else do you wanna know. you have any idea on what turbo your gonna be using. it might also be a good idea to look into micropolish and balancing the bottom end. do you plan on boring your block over any ? maybe to 81.5mm.

The idea of building the bottem is still in mind...but if I dont, boring it to 81.5mm is good for stock block but if I end up building the bottom end I'll probably bore it to 84 or 84.5. As for a turbo, not sure yet.

You should definitely build the block! I am now regretting the decision to sleeve at a later date when I put the pistons/rods in. Boost is addicting, and you will want more and more power. Sleeve now, be happy sooner!
