Default 96 Accord Driver Side Window

Hello I have a 96 Honda Accord 4 door LX Sedan. My Driver side window would go down perfectly fine but it would go up really slow. One day it stopped going up. So i replaced the window motor and window switch. Now it works but it still goes up really slow. (the parts i bought were original honda brand new in box parts) My mechanic also put sum greasy stuff to make it go up faster but it still goes up slow.

Has anyone experienced this problem?

all windows go up slower than they go down, laws of physics

well when i put the drivers side and passenger side window down and push them up at the same time, by the time the passenger side is up, the drivers side is still like at 60%. i dont think thats the laws of physics

when i took mine to the honda dealer, they said the tracks were worn out...basically, they lubed and will dry out over time...this is probably what you need to replace...

Did you replace the motor AND regulator too? Sometimes it comes in one unit, and sometimes they come seperate. If they were seperate, then I'm 99.9% sure the regulator is your problem.

i bet your window guids are too tight they need to be adjusted ,there are 2 10mm bolts 1 on each side loosen them up and spread the guides to give window a bit more slack

Honda recommends silicone spray, but WD40 would probably work too....

i had this happen on my 96 LX sedan. it was very very slow for a long time. it was brought into the dealer by my mom (the former driver) a few times, and each time they said "the channels need lubing". of course, it was still just as slow; sometimes i would even have to push it the rest of the way up when it was cold out. one day, i put the window down, and no amount of pushing would get it up. i brought it to a local mechanic, who diagnosed the problem as the regulator. about $300 later, i had a working window that went up just as slowly as it did before. it ******* sucks, especially since i still have to push it up (while pushing the switch) on cold days. can anyone with any ideas, or who has experienced a similar problem offer some advice?

Yup the windows go up slow on mine too I think Honda just has problems with there windows as everyone I have talked to seems to have this problem. I know they go up like normal in my truck but slowly go up in the Honda so it is not normal saying they go up slower than they come down as they go up slower than every other car I have tried.

Default window switch

yeah the same thing has happened to mine as well. the windows have always been slow but the drivers window finally bit the dust. i replaced the motor which did not help at all. i believe the problem is in the master switch. all the other windows work fine, only the drivers window wont go up but it will go down. i looked around on ebay and some other websites and this seems to be a common problem. several people mentioned that it is possible to fix. at this point id be willing to try cause i got nothing to lose. they said something about flipping the contacts around and using the ones from a different window to control it? any experience with this ? any recommendations or insight would be greatly appreciated.
