Default can i still run the ecu?

I have a b7 in my 95 civic right now, and i bought a p28 chipped ecu with goodies. Could i still run the ecu on my b7 for now until i put my z6 into my car? I know it is a vtec ecu, but i wanna use it for other things first.

You can use the ECU. You will have CELs though. Nothing to worry about, just VTEC not existing and all. It will make the car functional however. I hate seeing yellow lights in the cluster myself...
