Well after a long, long wait, just about 4 months, I got my R back today and it is simply incredible. I have to break the engine in again, as I had new stock pistons and rings put in. Well the IPS cams are extraordinary. I am keeping it at a relatively low 5000rpms, but damn I just want to nail it. Put it up to 5700, VTEC is set at 5500, but that will go down to 4900 as the Toda exmani likes a lower VTEC point compared to the DC mani, which is what the IPS tune used. Anyways, that one time going up to 5700 in 3rd I was losing traction. I was just
!
I pulled onto the mainroad and there were no cars in front of me and short shifting at between 4500-5000, I was up to 140km/h in no time at all. It was very smooth and I didn't even realize I was going that quick, until I looked down at the RSM.
I definitely have to play with the tune as it was running lean on the low-cam, like 17-20 a/f. The K-Pro has a lambda overlay feature that suggests how much fuel to add and subtract, I just did this for now. I definitely have to advance the ignition with the increased compression. The IPS was tuned on a normal K20A2 with 11.0:1, whereas I am running 11.9:1.
Well that's all for right now, going to go wash the filthy bitch and take it out on a good 5-6 hour drive to put some kilos on it.

Very best of luck breaking it in all over again.
When my DC2 ITR was rebuilt a couple of years ago, it didn't catch much of a break at all. I think it was back on the track w/in two months. LOL...

LOL....
I still haven't been on a track this season, not at all. The NASA Virginia schedule isn't at Summit quite as much as before, and life is a bit disjointed right now, what with moving to a new place, the ITR stored out in the country, and the garage full of stuff that can't seem to be put in the house anywhere....

George I know what you mean, I want to just rip it open, because I know what is waiting for me when I do, pure adrenalin rush.
Shane, it is about time, that's for sure. Now I will just hope Joe's oilpan modification serves its purpose and keeps me from having oil pickup problems again.
Luckily the gymkana session on the 4th of May was cancelled as the couple places that we can rent out, are booked solid. Because I know damn well I would of been out there slinging the car around.
