Default Support Frame? Unindentifed.

I began taking part off the car. beinging my second engine swap. This time, i'm going to put 100% into doing it. Engine bay will be painted. WHen i took off the bumper, there was this some sort of frame on there. I never seen it on other crx before. Wonder what's it called?

I "think" JDM supports are something like that, but i've never really seen one.

Wow, so they even downgraded the support for the front chassis on the HFs? My Si support is 5inchs wide and 2inchs thick. This makes me like my Si more and more, she's like a big fat chick with a pretty face. - Darrell

after i posted that about it being HF bumper bar, i started thinking about my 88HF and checked it out - it doesn't have a bumper bar, just a little square thing on each side - i asked the guys in the shop and they say it is an aftermarket bumper bar from someone like Certafit

yeah, the hf's definitely have different bumpers, though. my dealer brochure states "si and standard crx (that we know as dx) pass 5 mph crash tests, and the hf passes 2.5 mph crash tests" well, maybe thats paraphrased a little, but the numbers are right.
