Coilovers or Temp Springs?
so, I just had new rotors and ss brake lines put on (brakes went out on me going about 40mph on a turn
)...yes...I had someone else do it
I didn't have the time and I really needed my car...well, like all mechanics, they found something else....my front left spring is busted.....
I eventually want to do coilovers but not sure if I should just go with a temp spring setup or go all out and get the coilovers now? I'm also not sure what setups to get, any info?

how can a spring be busted? thats impossible unless it totaly broke witch i HIGHLY doubt. your strut probly broke, and if thats the case. I would do a full spring and strut combo. spring, not coil over.

The stock springs have a history of breaking. It happens most in areas that have salt on the roads in the winter, like here in MN. The salt collects on the spring and weakens it by eating the spring away. Then the spring breaks when it gets bad enough. I have seen this on a few cars and the CRX I have has had 2 springs replaced by the guy I got it from that were broken. For the price of a new stock spring I would just replace all of them now with an aftermarket spring.

some do clean it and some don't....in NH they tend to go a lil salt happy.
BTW..I realized I didn't really leave what I wanted in a new setup...
pretty stiff and I wanna drop it about an inch or two.
