There is no new design to a CAI. a CAI intake is a CAI intake. The size/length etc and filter palcement maybe different, but in the end, you won't be looking at worthwhile gains over a cheapo ebay one.

An intake is still an intake, it not like one is gonna make that much more power then the other

It's just a slight mix of a standard CAI and an Iceman intake with the filter inline vs at the end.

wow 170 for a LS, 270 for a GSR. Thats fucked up, and look at the price list, the GSR cai is the most expensive one, hell M3 one is only 160

PRM CAI's are WAY old. Just a way to get cold air & eliminate hydrolock, IE Comptech.

Ive never seen any dynos though actually.

As long as the filter isnt submerged, you shouldnt have a problem. A properly oiled filter should be able to withstand splashes of water without any issues.

Personally, I would go with what everyone has success with, and what Ive seen dynos of. The PRM doesnt look like it has any special gimmick that would generate any extra gains (ie 3" pipe, a "chamber" design, etc).

Or you could spend the $200 the right way and put it in a turbo fund
