Default Thinking about purchasing a high compression b16, but want to increase to 1.8

I found a JDM B16a block with high compression aftermarket pistons and was thinking about picking it up for a project. I really can't stand the 1.6, so I was wondering if I could just put an LS or GSR crank in it to increase displacement to a 1.8. If I were to do that, what rods/bearings would I have to use?

TIA

you cant do that..you need custom pistons...i recomend just buying a one eight block and save the hassle...

look up b16 stroker kit on h-t and you will find your answers, you need custom pistions, but there are good ones out there.

Well, you could run a B17 rotating assembly with 84mm sleeves and pistons and have your 1.8. Either way you're going to have to buy new pistons.

That would be a cool setup, and probably quite reliable, but i would be damned if i paid for sleeving to yield a 1.8 liter setup. If im paying for sleeves and going 84 or 85mm i would want a 2020 cc block
