The replacement unit for my power antenna requires me to find two wires. The first wire would be the constant 12V and the power wire that gets hot when you turn on the radio. There are only three wires going into the original motor, a white with some blue, a yellow with some white and a black wire. The instructions that came with the antenna said I will not need the black wire since the new antenna has it's own ground. This leaves me with two wires blue and yellow. Well I figure out that the yellow works with the on/off of the radio so the blue must be the constant power wire. Well it doesnt have any power at anytime, car on or off or radio on or off.

Does someone know were this wire originates from. I went up to as far as I could see the wire which was under the plastic piece on the drivers side floor were the door closes. I took some of the coating off the wire there and tested it with a voltmeter and got nothing. So now I'm trying to find out were this wire gets it's power from.

Sorry for the lengthy rant but just trying to get power back to the antenna, so if anyone has anyother suggestions that would be great.

the y/w is the 1 coming from radio,, w/b is direct power ..you need to test the fuses to make sure not blown under hood fuse # 36 15a and # 37 7.5a..also chk underdash fuse # 11 10a.............the y/w is energized by the raido when you turn it on the radio for that gets power from the cigarette lite relay ..which gets power form fuse # 36 under hood box..w/b wire is pretty much a straight shot from underhood fuse box to underdash fuse box to power antenna..again chk those 3 fuses first
