draining the block of water
Draining the radiator does not flush all of the coolant out.
If you want to do a complete flush, you will need to remove the large plug on the front of the block to drain it out.

You could also probably remove a large portion of the coolant by removing the waterpump, thermostat housing, etc... When I did my waterpump, the radiator was fully drained, and when I removed the old pump, it spilled a shload of coolant...

why do all that work when the drain plug is right on front of the block...
