where to find torque specs for tightening valves

where to find torque specs for tightening valves

hey does anybody know the torque specs for a d16a6 valve tensioners, i checked my manual and i cant find where it says torque specs on the cap bolts

Are you talking about the locknuts for the valve adjustment or the cam caps?

i think the locknuts for the valve adjustment

Ok if it is the locknuts they need to be torqued to 10 lb-ft

i didn't ever torque them to spec until i saw my friend's type-r have one come completely off at the road course

motor was fine tho

how much should you tighten the cam caps?

16 ft/lbs. and then the cap closest to the dist is 9lbs. I'm not sure if it says it in the manual, but I would go from the middle out for the hell of it.
