where to find torque specs for tightening valves

Default where to find torque specs for tightening valves

hey does anybody know the torque specs for a d16a6 valve tensioners, i checked my manual and i cant find where it says torque specs on the cap bolts

Are you talking about the locknuts for the valve adjustment or the cam caps?

Ok if it is the locknuts they need to be torqued to 10 lb-ft

i didn't ever torque them to spec until i saw my friend's type-r have one come completely off at the road course motor was fine tho

16 ft/lbs. and then the cap closest to the dist is 9lbs. I'm not sure if it says it in the manual, but I would go from the middle out for the hell of it.
