This is the second time this has happened to me now, and it bothering the hell outta me. The top bolt that holds the alternator to the mount has fallen out again. I tightened this bitch down very very good, just yesterday it fell out while i was driving? Has anyone else had this problem. Its an LS swap in an EG. Please get back at me when you can. Thanks.

 

have you tried using some thread lock? probably the threads are worn down/semi stripped causing them to loosen up.

 

yeah either thread lock or get a new nut and bolt and try that it should work then

 

It was a brand new nut and bolt from acura, still it came off, i guess ill try the threadlock and see how that goes, thanks for the info fellas.

Yah, hopefully it will work for me, its been nothin but problems since this swap went in. Clutch splines went out on me in 3000 miles, Constant oil leaks, think we found the problem to that, and this alternator problem. Hopefully we can get this thing all good so i can take it to the track. Thanks again everyone.
