ls/vtec questions
i've done some searching and reading. i would just like some of your guys opinions also. anyway, i am doing a manual conversion and the ls/vtec with a built head (upgraded valve train and cams) this summer. my goal is 200 - 250hp for now.
my qestions are:
1. is the type r tranny worth the extra money for the lsd or should i just go with a b16 tranny? i am leaning towards type r.
2. is the type r head worth the extra cash? or will a b16 head with the upgraded valvetrain and cams be ok?
3. what is the highest safe redline for an ls block with the above? what would it take to be able to make it safe to rev 9k-10k rpms?
4. which cams are better in your opinion toda spec b or skunk2 stage 2?

LSD is deff worth it.
b16 head p&p just as good with upgrades
never had either cam but i know toda is better but depends on setup i spose
lot of work to go to 9 or 10 k
Prolly wont even make power that high so just stick with 8000-8500
