Well my girlfriends birthday is coming up and in addition to a few other things I decided to make a little something for her at the shop. It took me nearly 9 hours of beating **** into place and cutting little flower petals, making inserts in the lathe to go into the tubes for the stem but i really like the way it came out. Here are some pics!

I made a stainless steel rose a while back but never finished.. ill take pics later tomorrow and post them up, everyone i have showed it to is amazed with it.

yo i need those rod ends for my traction bars, ill buy em off u j/p nice work, i like how you just "free" bent the stems.

 

yeah i just put those bitches in a vice and beat on them and yeah some of the pedals will cut he up if she touches them too hard to I have to tell her to be careful lol. I do wanna see that rose though, all the guys at the shop liked it but made fun of me for doing all that for a girl haha, I was there until 6 am thursday working on it

 

oh yeah and those rod ends were the old ones, i didn't wanna use 20 dollar pieces for the head of a flower lol

 

You need to make thorns for it.

Very cool idea though. I'd do it if I had a girlfriend.

 

i actually had some thorns made but those were a little too sadistic i think

 

I paid $6 or $7 for mine at publix last night.

hey man thats a sweet rose how did you makes those petals on the side? thats awesome, but you need the rest of it!!!!

 

It had a lilly.

 

the peddals were .010" 304 Stainless (the whole rose is stainless) and i cut the pedals out with the TIG welder just burned through the material at like 15 amps and it made the edges like that... then i turned it down to 5amps to make the design on each pedal

 

that is pretty ******* sweet, I might have to try that out for round 2!

 

thats really artistic to make those flowers but i bet their sharp as hell to

haha yeah she was really psyched when i gave it to her because its the most creative thing shes ever gotten and it was a labor of love, not money like her last boyfriend could throw around

 

mine didnt appreciate it... we also dont date anymore.

P.s. she got a present from her rich as ex and it was a 200 dollar gift certificate to some store, proof that money doesnt mean better present

 

haha no it was just because she didnt really appreciate anything. Not to mention her family hated me with a passion..

I guess someone else that the family liked and was "allowed" to give her attention took her from me... o well. I got like 100 pictures of her and me.. doing.... stuff. I think im gonna give them to this new guy someday... wedding day would be the best!
