ABS Light: How to check what code it's throwing?
My ABS light is on, how do I check which code it's throwing? I've searched and read around that it's kind of like checking the CEL, but how exactly do I check? I have an 97 Acura CL, but it's basically a rebadged 4th gen Accord. All my brake light bulbs are okay so that's not the problem. Thanks in advance.
Ahh yes I read that somewhere and tried it. I don't have a CEL, but when I jumper it, the CEL comes on and stays solid, same with the ABS light. When I pull the paper clip out, CEL goes off, ABS stays on.
from a helm manual the scs mode method is:
connect the service conmnector, turn ignition switch on (do NOT have foot on brake), then it blinks to indicate teh codes, if theere is no code memorized the light goess off for 3.6 seconds thenc comes back on.
if the light for abs stays on but there is no error code:
possibke problems include: bad fuse, bad ground, short in power circuit to the abs conrtoller, loose connectors to teh abns controller, open in wire from abs controller to dash or a bad abs controller.

Hmm, my dad has pretty much checked those problems but they're all good. He said he read some of the wiring diagrams, and saw that the ABS is somewhat connected to the cruise control? The cruise control is still sittin in the car but unconnected. Could this be it? Thanks.
