Just would like to clarify what the differences are between these turbos.

the newer gt wheels are of a much better design... more aerodynamic and flow much better.. which pretty much means more power at lower boost levels and quicker spool.

no you cant run a GT wheel in ptrim housing most of the older turbos were running p trim wheels as well as o trim turbines. The housings are just too small for the newer GTQ and GTS wheels that are on the market

but remember you can machine any housing to fit any wheel as long as it withing a given spec.

So are they machining the housings on the pt67 because you can get it with the gts or gtq wheels, just trying to figure what the big difference is if they offer the same wheels.

its all based on which exhaust wheel you want the housing they use is machined for whatever you want. GTQ is what is most popular right now

the wheel design like stated above the P trim is 70 technology where the wheel angles and all were designed not for performance but rather for diesel use which is where turbos got there start from.

The new designed GT wheels are far superior in design and can flow alot more air compared to the others.

Faster spool, more peak boost, he already explained it.

the gt4067 is different turbo than a pt67 with gtq turbine

we are talking turbine trims here not compressor tthats probably what is confusing you.
