anyone with experience with putting a DBB CHRA into a t3t4?
i have an ITS 50 trim and am thinking of converting it to DBB with a DBB CHRA, just wondering if anyone on here has went this route instead of getting a gtr series turbo?
any input would be appreciated

Yes. There are replacement CHRAs that are used with the standard compressor and exhaust wheels, and I'm quite sure many here on this forum has used them. The results were less than impressive for the additional cost of the cartridge. You must remember, that it is the cartridge in CONJUNCTION to the wheel design of the GT-R series that makes the difference. "quicker spool" is a by-product of that design, not the purpose that it was made, and the reason for the drop in its general popularity amongst GT turbo owners.

You can either send in your current journal bearing turbo, and they will switch them out for you, or you can purchase a new turbo that uses the T3/T4 wheels, w/ the new cartridge. They are around $1150 on the market.

Regardless of the method, putting a DBB CHRA on a standard T3/T04 is not going to yeild quicker spool like most people think. For the money, just get the journal bearing...

from what TheShodan is saying it appears it may be more cost effective to sell your current turbo and buy a new GT-R turbo of the same size.
