Yes I did search, before anyone flames me...anyway, my firend wants to do a auto to manual swap for his d-series and i just wanted to know if i needed a auto to manual mount kit? I emailed placeracing (whos website is down) about it but havnt gottan a replie. The only reason why i ask if i need a mount kit cause i know on the DC and EG chassis mount location on the body is different from the manual body, thus needing the mount kit. I could hack the body and just fab the bracket on, but i really dont wanna do that. Any info would help, thanks

 

I am not positive but i belive that on the EG's you either have to get a mount Kit or Drill and tap the holes for the manual mounts into the frame. I have not done or researched this for an EG so i really can't say for sure though.

I am planing on doing this to my EK so i have done soem research and On the Ek's I know you don't have to worry with it the wholes for the manual mounts, it is there and tapped.

no all you need is the original manual trans mounts that bolt to the trans and the frame.

no prob man, actaully we will be swaping it soon (3 weeks or so) just waiting on the elderbrok (spelling?) turbo kit...thanks for the info man!
